Civil and Commercial Law

I studied law in Tübingen, Hamburg and Aberdeen (Scotland). The University of Aberdeen awarded me a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree. I received my doctorate in law from the University of Hamburg with a thesis on international civil procedure law.

I began my professional career in 1995 at the Hamburg office of a German commercial law firm, which merged into a leading global partnership in 2010. From 2001 to 2016, I was a partner at this firm's Munich office. My practice focused on litigation, particularly in the field of intellectual property law, as well as franchise, corporate, insolvency, IT and antitrust law.

I am a specialist lawyer for intellectual property law.

I have been admitted to the Federal Court of Justice (BGH) as a lawyer since 2016.

For decades, I have not only applied my experience and expertise in forensic and advisory work, but have also contributed to scientific discourse through lectures and publications.

I attach great importance to close cooperation with the lawyers you have appointed before. Their input is indispensable; it improves the strategy for the third instance.
